To realign healthy choices with our healthy selves, we must look at the root causes of our overeating, not the symptoms. Our physical hunger for food and mental appetite should unite in a single, healthy desire.
Eating Disorders are not only about food but affords us the opportunity to look inside ourselves at the underlying issues in our lives. There is no one cause for eating disorders. It is not about food, but about emotions.
This workshop focuses on personal experience and practical steps. Together, we will discover what lies behind your overeating habits, learn what the difference is between wants and needs, become aware of automatic and unconscious behaviours and investigate the underlying motivations and impulses that drive us. You will learn how to focus on your life, not your food.
The Mindful Eating workshop is a journey that addresses the following:
Why do we eat when we are not hungry?
How to live normally with food
How to love and trust your body
Tools and techniques to help you change your body
